About Me

“With freedom, books, flowers & the moon, who could not be happy?” – Oscar Wilde

Hello, I’m Julie. I am married to a beautiful creature of a man named Brad,  who is spattered among these pages offering his thoughts on the books he reads. Together we have a beautiful little boy who is the best part of our every day.  My husband and son are my reason for everything and my reasons “why.”

I write these pages from our cozy cabin in the woods located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Reading is a hobby for me, thus this blog was created as an outlet to express my opinions and to share the thoughts trapped within my mind. I am a eclectic reader, but psychological thrillers and mysteries are my genre of choice. If you cannot find me I am probably exploring, reading a book, escaping to music, or all of the above.

I am a creature of habit, a chocolate loving, wine drinking, tea addict, with a deep love for cheese and affinity for black leggings, black dresses, and black coffee. I’m an ambivert by nature, your typical Libra and Quality Time is my love language.  Music fuels my life and I enjoy steadily growing my record collection and attending concerts whenever I can.  I am a wanderer at heart, a moon dancer, and a stargazer.

It is such a pleasure to meet you.

So…I’m a chocolate and tea lover (amongst some of your others too) but I just have to ask…do you also like chocolate dipped in a cuppa tea?

      1. Oooh…you must try. A piping hot cuppa and then a nice piece of solid chocolate dippped…it melts and then you can repeat….oooh, or with one of those bubble ones…the bubbles disintegrate as you put the chocolate into your mouth…hmmm…I need a cup of tea now (with chocolate).
Oh…and a fresh bread roll with chocolate? Oooh yum….

Wonderful to meet you as well! I was once partial to only warm weather, now I suppose I have become accustom to the frigid air. 🙂

  5. A wonderful introduction, Julie. I love the photo of you and your beautiful family, you all look warm and cozy.
I was raised in New York and spent 49 winters there and 25 years ago we moved to Florida. I love the weather here and so do my old bones.
I thank you for the follow and look forward to reading your offerings.

    1. Pleasure is mine! And thank you, very sweet of you to say. Truthfully, I feel the state motto should be Live, FREEZE, or Die, but that’s just me 🙂
